Meet the Cozy Crew!

Oliver

Oliver (Olly) is a 13 year old toy poodle chihuahua mix, who was rescued as a puppy after he was found nearly drowning in a canal in Phoenix, AZ. He’s big on naps, cuddles, and doggy ice cream. We call him “the lifeguard” here because he mostly perches and observes.

Mary

Mary is a 4 year old bichon frisé, who was rehomed here in 2024. Although she was never a stray, Mary is a wild animal. She was born to run and wrestle. She may be small, but she is strong!

Colleen

Colleen is a 39 year old woman from Bucks County, by way of Scottsdale, Arizona. Her initial career path was in medical sociology, but ongoing health issues caused her to leave the workforce in 2015. After a long recovery process, Colleen was able to return to work in 2019 on a very limited schedule. By 2022, she was walking dogs full time. From there, Colleen founded Cozy in Philly, and the business has been growing ever since. She no longer walks dogs, so that she can dedicate her entire day to the pups who come to Cozy in Philly. Colleen says this is her dream job!

Puff (over the rainbow bridge)

Puff was an 8 year old maltese bichon mix, who was rescued from ACCT by Philly Rescue Angels. He was surrendered with a large infected bite wound on his face and neck. Puff was originally a foster, but we couldn’t let him leave. Puff loved to sniff, chase, loaf, and eat. He was perfect and everybody loved him. Puff passed away peacefully with his family in 2025, after a congenital heart condition led to eventual heart failure. We have founded Puffy Dog Secondhand in his legacy.

Location

We are private, so we don’t share our exact address until we’re setting up a meet+greet. To schedule a meet+greet, you must first submit a booking request, and then Colleen will follow up with first timers to set one up.

Policies

Vaccines:

Dogs are required to have their DHPP, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccines up to date. It’s strongly recommended that they have their flu shots as well.

Behavior:

Colleen would like to know about any histories of guarding, fighting, or biting before booking. Dogs that act dangerously will be isolated and rotated, whether that be by gates or her bedroom door. Crate training is not required. Potty training accidents that are ongoing will be handled with doggy diapers.

Cancellations:

There is no cancellation policy, but late cancellation notices will be considered next time you’d like to book your dog. Please don’t be mean to us..
